Raw lodgement volume — bigger suburbs lodge more, so use the per-1k-dwellings column for the rate view (census 2021 dwelling counts). Lodged means proposed: many applications are knock-down rebuilds, pools and renovations, not towers, and plenty never get built. Click a suburb for its full picture, or check any application on the NSW Planning Portal. High DA activity cuts both ways: change and construction nearby, but also confidence and future supply.
